Polyester is a plastic film with holes punched in it. Air can't move through it the way it moves through Merino. In controlled airflow testing, Merino Air lets 3.2x more air pass through than the bestselling polyester on the market.

Polyester has one mode: trap heat against your skin. That's why you overheat mid-session and your tee feels like a sauna by set three. Merino wool has been thermoregulating animals on alpine mountainsides for 10,000 years

Cool when you're working. Comfortable when you're not. Without doing anything.

3. It doesn't stink, ever

3. It doesn't stink, ever

Polyester stinks because bacteria colonize the fibers permanently. No detergent removes them. Merino wool contains keratin, the same protein in your hair and skin, which is naturally antimicrobial. We wore Merino Air for 5 consecutive training sessions without washing it. It still smelled like nothing.

A 2022 study found polyester microfibers in 77% of human blood samples tested. Synthetic performance tees are treated with PFAS "forever chemicals" for moisture-wicking, finished with antimony (a possible carcinogen), and often sprayed with silver nanoparticles to delay odor. You sweat. Your pores open. The chemistry goes somewhere. It goes into you.

Merino and Tencel knitted into a custom open-cell mesh. Lululemon can't make this. Vuori can't make this. Nike won't make this, their entire supply chain runs on plastic. Merino Air exists at Nero, and only at Nero.

6. Test it for 99 days

Train in it. Sweat in it. Run in it. Travel in it. Wear it for a week without washing. If it's not the best performance tee you've ever owned, send it back within 99 days for a full refund. No questions. The fabric does the selling — once you wear it, you don't go back.
